Pulling inspiration from folkloric dances and sometimes using zills, swords, and veils - oh my! The possibilities are endless with this fusion style. Embrace your body and feel amazing doing it! Shimmy/coin skirts are welcome, but not required.

Burlesque 1.5 is the happy medium you’ve been looking for! In this class, you will find more challenging choreography taught at a faster pace. Plus - you get to explore even more styles under that sparkly burlesque umbrella
Relax, restore, and refresh your mind and body. This class is a fusion of Yin and Restorative yoga, blending active and inactive movement. Ease your stress through this slow-paced style of yoga in which the body is placed in comfortable and fully supported postures held for 2-5 minutes per pose. Experience the benefits as you escape into the music, invigorate the body, improve flexibility, as you indulge in luxurious relaxation.
Learn how to use a chair for more than just sitting - work it to your advantage through choreography and stylization. Stand on it, lay on it, flip upside down on it! Chairs never looked so sexy. Chairs are provided, heels are optional, beginner friendly with lots of options available for tricks!

We will emphasize confidence and empowerment, allowing you to explore the playful and flirtatious nature of burlesque performance while honing your dance skills. All levels welcome!
A blend of ballet, Jazz, and lyrical combine to create contemporary. This class will use movements to express different emotions and learn basic contemporary techniques. This is the opportunity to take choreography and make it your own for whatever feels best for you.

That's okay! No matter what style of dance you want to learn - Burlesque, Bellydance, Heels - there are foundations that need to be set. It's never too late to learn the techniques that will support your body, protect your joints, and help you in every dance class you take. At Soul On Fire our goal is not just to get you dancing, but to keep you dancing safely for a long time, and understanding the fundamentals of movement and alignment prevents injury and helps you gain confidence in your body. Each month you will learn something new and different - so you can spend several weeks mastering the basics of one style before moving on to another the next month! During class we will break down a technique style such as jazz, modern, ballet, etc. and then put each of those pieces into choreography to see what it's like in motion!
Intermediate Burlesque builds on the fundamentals learned in Beginning Burlesque. Learn more complicated choreography at a faster pace and practice your performance skills! This class does incorporate floorwork (but options are available). Heels and knee pads recommended!

Are you coming back to ballet after time away, an injury, or just wanting to brush up on some technique? This class is the one for you! Intro to Ballet is a beginner friendly class that will help you to explore the basics of ballet and increase your body awareness.
This style combines jazz and hip hop and is most commonly seen in commercial dance (think music videos or concerts). It's known for its dynamic, expressive movements, combining sharp, intricate footwork with more fluid, lyrical qualities.
We know times are hard - folks are losing their jobs, the cost of living is higher, and it's getting a little harder to make ends meet for some of us. In times like these, we need community more than ever, but sometimes it just isn't in the budget. Here at Soul on Fire Dance, we want to try something new.
Introducing The Kindness Floor - A Love Note Series. We will be hosting a community class once per month that will be pay what you can (even if that means you take class for free). There will be a two hour time slot - the first hour is a traditional dance class (styles will vary) and the second hour will be open studio time to get assistance with movements, run routines, or just hang out and be with your community.
For those who are able to donate, 100% of the proceeds will go towards class credits for those who are currently unable to afford them. Pay-it-forward dance classes, if you will. Each cumulative $20 will be posted on a notecard on a bulletin board in the studio. If you're having a really hard day and need to dance, but it's not in the budget, grab a notecard and use it as a credit for any of our regular classes on the schedule.
If you donate to participate in The Kindness Floor, we encourage you to write some words of affirmation on a notecard that will be added to the board. We could all use a little more love, and what better way to do it than through dance?

Ever wanted to learn the moves that your favorite artists are doing in their videos? Want to feel like Britney, Janet, Gaga, Christina, Dua Lipa, Ariana, The Pussycat Dolls, and many others? This class has all the moves to make you feel just that. Learn some fun choreography in the genre of these stars' music videos with sexy twist - a variety of hip hop, jazz and more! So dance it out and bring out the pop star inside of you! This class focuses on one music video per month: learn the choreography for the first weeks and then on the last week, show up in costume and film like a real music video! Can't make all the classes? No problem, each week is a new section! Beginner friendly.
Pom is a high energy, dance fitness class incorporating cheer pom poms. It is a blend of elements from hip hop, jazz, and cheerleading. This dynamic style focuses on building strong technique and precision through the use of kicks, jumps, and turns. You will learn exciting routines that foster showmanship and performance skills. (We have poms you can borrow, no need to bring your own - unless you want to!)
Been to a few classes and feeling a bit stiff? Have flexibility goals, but don't know where to start? Have a really stressful day and need a nervous system reset? This class is designed to be a full-body stretch while promoting proper technique, injury prevention, mobility training, and nervous system regulation - as well as cater to all levels of experience. No dance/flexibility training is required.
Have you been wondering how to help your body feel stronger and decrease those random pains during class? We will guide you through stretches and joint mobility exercises, as well as engaging in gentle strengthening. This all levels class is the perfect combination to supplement your dance journey.
